Git Shell Panel

The timmo.git Omarchy Shell plugin combines managed repository state and GitHub notifications in one primary-output bar widget and native panel.

ControlAction
CTRL+ALT+GToggle the panel
Left clickToggle the panel
Right clickRefresh repository and notification state
r while openRefresh repository and notification state

Open or refresh it from a terminal with:

Terminal window
omarchy-shell timmo.git toggle
omarchy-shell timmo.git refresh

The widget stays hidden when tracked repositories are clean and the GitHub inbox has no unread threads. Hovering the bar reveals its clean-state icons. A question mark indicates that one of the data sources could not be refreshed.

The panel lists changed repositories followed by filtered GitHub notification threads. Its actions open the Changed or Other repository view, open the filtered notifications TUI, or refresh both sources. Selecting a repository opens it in the diff TUI; selecting a notification opens its GitHub URL.

Use Up/Down or j/k to move, Enter to activate, Escape to close, and Tab to move to the next bar panel.

The service polls these structured commands every minute:

Terminal window
dot git-diff --bar-json
dot git-notifications --bar-json

Repository and notification visibility follows the private dot-git.yml configuration. GitHub notifications require an authenticated gh token with the notifications or repo scope.

Run each source directly when the panel shows an unavailable state:

Terminal window
dot git-diff --bar-json
dot git-notifications --bar-json

Then request a fresh panel poll:

Terminal window
omarchy-shell timmo.git refresh

If the panel does not open, confirm that the plugin is discovered and summon it directly:

Terminal window
omarchy-shell shell listPlugins
omarchy-shell timmo.git open
